If you haven't watched "The Queen's Gambit" on Netflix like the other 62 million people have, do it now. The series follows the gripping journey of orphan and child prodigy, Beth Harmon who becomes a world-renowned chess champion during the 1960s Cold War era. Props to production designer Uli Hamish, as I've never experienced such maximalist retro interiors before. So.much.wallpaper. Pink florals on florals, tacky teal curtains and even coordinating cardigans scream at you through the screen. From old-school basketball courts to ritzy hotels, there is so much to marvel at. It's as if the interiors are over-compensating for the loneliness Beth feels.
